Principal skills relevant to our firm:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-guided
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, co-workers, and supervisors

- Able to work in a team environment with the ability and willingness to help others
Preferred experience:
- Recent experience in individual tax preparation
- Certification of nationally recognized tax program and recent continuing education
- Experience with tax preparation software
- Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Fundamental responsibilities:
- Preparing individual income tax returns
- Communicate with clients promptly and professionally
- Attend continuing education courses to remain current with tax law
- Special projects and other functions as requested by manager or client
- Maintaining client confidentiality by upholding firm security policies
Work hours: During season: average of 50 hours per week. Non-season: 20 – 40 hours, as needed
Pay: $18 – 22/hour based on experience

Part-time Accountant

Preferred experience:
- Recent hands-on experience in public accounting
- Associate or bachelor degree in accounting; or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), Excel, Word, and Outlook
Fundamental responsibilities:
- General bookkeeping responsibilities
- Reconciling monthly bank statements
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Recording cash receipts, receivables, and inventory as provided by clients
- Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports accurately and timely
- Special projects and other functions as requested by manager or client
- Maintaining client confidentiality at all times by upholding firm security policies
Work hours: 20-30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours near deadlines
Pay: $18-22/hour based on experience
