Tax Preparer

Principal skills relevant to our firm:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-guided
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, co-workers, and supervisors

Preferred experience:
- Recent experience in individual tax preparation
- Certification of nationally recognized tax program and recent continuing education
- Experience with tax preparation software
- Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Fundamental responsibilities:
- Preparing individual income tax returns
- Communicate with clients promptly and professionally
- Attend continuing education courses to remain current with tax law
- Special projects and other functions as requested by manager or client
- Maintaining client confidentiality by upholding firm security policies
Work hours: During season: average of 50 hours per week. Non-season: 20 – 40 hours, as needed

Receptionist
Please note: the position is seasonal, full-time employment from mid-January through mid-April.
Are you an experienced receptionist, or do you have experience as an administrative assistant? We’re interested in meeting you.
Are you proficient in Microsoft Office, experienced with a multi-line phone system, detail-oriented, and have a positive attitude? We are looking for you.
- We’re seeking an individual who has the ability to multitask, solve problems, take initiative, and adapt to tax software.
- The ideal candidate must have great interpersonal skills.
- You will be the first point of contact to assist in calls and welcoming clients; an upbeat personality is a must.
- Applicants must display good decision-making abilities, excellent verbal and written skills, and be able to work independently.
- Pay is hourly and commensurate with experience.
